Hosting a summer party? Read on for party-approved tips.
The warm weather inspires plenty of great get-togethers, from family gatherings to block parties. If you’re hosting this summer, you should aim to wow! Sometimes, vacuuming and putting out brightly colored napkins isn’t enough to impress. Are you stumped for ideas on how to transform your summer party into one to remember?
Here are some tips to get you started!
Take it outside. Summer is no time to keep your guests cooped up indoors. Ditch the dining room table and take the party outside. Your guests will have more room to play corn hole, sit back and relax, and enjoy the sunshine! If you don’t have a big outdoor space, utilize your patio or move your party to a local park.
Light the night. Use different lighting to set the mood and create a scene that’s sure to impress your visitors! Create light by adding lanterns to your patio, string lights, and candles to your deck. This is sure to create a look that’s simply breathtaking. Remember to always check the lights for damage before plugging them in, and keep an eye on candles at all times.
Get playful! Guests will only mingle for so long before it gets tiresome. At this point, you can start a badminton tournament, corn hole, and bocce to get guests talking and having fun. Games are great icebreakers and go a long way to get people talking!
Stoke up the fire. Once the sun sets, end the evening with a bonfire. Make things cozy by bringing out blankets and pillows, and enjoy stories around the fire pit.
Don’t forget the food. One of the best things about summer is the colorful and abundant fruits and vegetables! For your party, grill veggie skewers, toss together colorful salads and finish with a sweet fruit salad.
